As Engineering Support Manager, you will oversee Bazaarvoice's 24x7x365 engineering support team as they help our customer-facing teams provide a superlative support experience. Your team fields reported defects, incidents, requests and inquiries escalated by client-facing teams. You’ll work with Bazaarvoice engineering teams to resolve escalated issues. Further, you will own the monitoring of end-to-end services and the overall incident command process. You will regularly engage with folks across Bazaarvoice to partner on efforts that will best enable engineering support and client-facing teams to provide a high quality support experience to our customers.

In this key role, you will:

  • Supervise the engineering DevOps support team and related processes

  • Build and cultivate a team that is staffed and skilled to meet the demands of providing 24x7x365 coverage on behalf of engineering

  • Run the daily global engineering support stand up meeting

  • Develop and leverage relationships with engineering teams and our internal partners to drive improvements that raise the quality of our customers’ support experience

  • Design, implement and maintain our system provisioning framework and engineering metrics tools.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven interpersonal, coaching and communication skills with high attention to detail

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated clear focus under pressure

  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate with both technical and business teams

  • Strong programming fundamentals in one or more of: JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby

  • Linux systems operations architecture and setup

  • Systems monitoring and alerting strategies and implementation

  • DevOps experience is a plus

  • Supervisory experience is a plus
