As a member of the Cork Material Planning team, the Planning Advisor plays a critical role in contributing to the company’s performance. The Planning Advisor will be joining a high performing, team based organization where colleagues are flexible, highly skilled and empowered to make decisions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and monitors schedules for products and commodities to meet external and internal customer demand.

  • Required to support/drive process and system improvement projects in line with business needs.

  • Conversion of the demand plan to supply plan for the planning horizon to support the S&OP process, highlighting constraints and risks, developing options and proposing solutions to Supply planning.

  • Identify long term supply constraints and develop contingency plans for same.

  • Resolves problems with inventory, production schedules, or materials shortages and recommends procedures to avoid future problems.

  • Works under limited direction. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.

  • Establishes a balance between vendors and customers based on supply and demand for materials and finished goods.

  • Forecasts requirements, and issues periodic reports on trends.

SKILLS

  • Experience in an Inventory Planning & Forecasting role.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading medium to large planning related projects.

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.

  • Customer focused.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Sense of urgency / quick thinking

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong systems skills with proven excellence in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • ERP experience(SAP)

Education Required: Third Level Business Degree Or Equivalent Experience Experience Required: 4-6 years in a similar role or business environment a distinct advantage.
