Program Manager for Scientific Systems, Data and Analytics (SD&A) portfolio of projects across Pharmaceutical Drug Development and Manufacturing Sciences (PDMS) enterprise, Value Streams and Matrix Functions.

The jobholder is responsible for managing the portfolio of SD & A projects in support of Pharmaceutical Drug Development and Manufacturing Sciences (PDMS) Value Streams and Matrix Functions. Responsibilities include:

  • Translating PDMS business needs into data and technology requirements to deliver targeted business value.

  • Planning, designing and leading programs and related governance, and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions.

  • Managing the SD&A portfolio programs’ budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses

  • Ensuring compliance with all contract deliverables, terms and service level agreements.

  • SD & A Portfolio reporting and resource alignment.

  • Ensuring project deliverables meet business needs (Managing customer critical-to-quality (CTQ) objectives), on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan and program governance.

  • Defining, leading and managing effective & formal governance process for portfolio of SD & A projects.

  • Coordinating the proper allocation of resources and skills within work stream teams

  • Oversight of multiple / parallel work-streams while managing inter-dependencies, and overseeing the associated risks and issues.

  • Ensuring effective interfaces and dependencies with other programs and compliance with technical standards.

  • Ensuring required communications, change management and training plans are in place to ensure success.

  • Providing regular portfolio and program updates as required.


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field is required.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical industry role is required

  • The candidate will possess awareness of Pharmaceutical drug development processes

  • At least 5 years of Program management experience and a proven track record of working with teams to deploy business solutions is required.

  • At least 3 years of direct line people management, leadership and development experience required.

  • Financial and business acumen; capable of planning and oversight of project budgets and timelines is required.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication as well as organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines with minimal supervision is required.

  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional work-stream teams maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum and an ability to drive program design plans to completion is required.

  • An ability to take hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” approach toward achieving business results is required.

  • An understanding of Quality Management System requirements as need to ensure a seamless transfer of development activities to commercialization is preferred

  • Experience in managing Agile development projects along with implementation and execution of the principles of Six Sigma methodologies throughout the program stages is preferred
