VMware Associate Resource Analyst, EMEA PSO in Cork, Ireland
The PSO Associate Resource Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimising the operations of Professional Services project delivery teams in the daily allocation and coordination of technical and project management resources for VMware Professional Services projects. The Associate Resource Analyst will work closely with Delivery, Engagement and Project Managers to ensure that projects are timely staffed with the right set of resources and with the right skillset for successful completion of tasks.
- Handle incoming resource requests for the EMEA PSO business – balance multiple and conflicting requirements at any one time.
-Allocate local Consultant delivery team to projects and manage schedules accordingly - assess project needs and balance these against available resources and utilization rates
-Have an understanding of the skill sets and desired work areas of the pool of resources - review CVs for suitability to fill project roles.
-Where appropriate, follow escalation routes and work with other business regions and units to source required skills/resources.
-Work with project teams to maximise the utilisation rate across the resources and support activities to optimise the utilisation of the resource pool.
-Production of weekly/monthly management information to support the PSO operations team.
Use of relevant tools and systems.
-Resource planning skills with resource allocation and conflict management experience (in a technical environment)
-Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate to fair and reasonable conclusions
-Manage risks and issues
-Understanding of the skillsets of the PSO consultants
-Experience of working in a structured environment and across organisational boundaries
-Able to manage own workload
-Organised, dependable, resourceful and flexible
-Ability to operate effectively in a matrix resource environment
-Ability to work independently as well as on cross-functional teams
