Job Responsibilities and Key Objectives

The ELA Support team is aligned to VMware’s commercial sales regions and is an overall support system for VMware’s field sales and channel partner organization. The ELA Support Analyst is responsible for supporting Sales team on Pre-Sales activities including, but not limited to:-

  • Efficient preparation and processing of ELA quotations in collaboration with account manager (AM), with specific focus on:-

  • Identification of EA (Entitlement Account) number(s) for inclusion in the renewal element of an ELA

  • Reconciliation of completed Installed Base (IB) report to Customer Records

  • Liaison with various internal teams to ensure efficient processing and approval of quote

  • Efficient preparation and processing ELA, SPF & Direct quotations in collaboration with account manager

  • On-boarding of new AMs (e.g. EA Research Tool, BI Entitlement, Model N etc.)

  • Analysis & identification of potential Installed Base mismatches

  • External-facing support for the AMs on customer calls regarding Installed Base

  • Participation on Corporate and local projects as necessary

  • Deal Operations query management

Candidate Profile:

• Previous software industry, deal desk, Finance, Operations or pricing experience is an advantage

• Primary degree in commerce, business studies or equivalent

• Must be a self-starter, highly analytical, with sound decision-making skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume e.g Quarter-End

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to work well with internal departments

• Intermediate MS Excel skills required (macros and pivot tables preferred)

• Fluency in English essential. Other European language is an advantage.
