This is an exciting opportunity to join the Decision Sciences team within the Enterprise Analytics Group in the capacity of a Sr. Advisor (Individual Contributor). The Decision Sciences team leverages data science, business insights, best-in-class technology and behavioral analysis to streamline communication and enable data-driven decision making for Enterprise business operations and sales personnel.
This role will involve working as part of our global team, primarily focused on Business Insights activities, helping operations and sales personnel to make informed, data-driven decisions. In addition, the successful candidate will gain valuable experience working with colleagues who have strong data science expertise.
Liaise with our counterparts in Dell IT to drive key reporting enhancements and business demands
Work closely with our business stakeholders to develop standard dashboards, productionalize insights, and develop mobile content leveraging Business Objects, Salesforce.com, Tableau, and Alteryx
Facilitate the development of automated solutions to overcome burdensome, manual processes
Host dedicated sessions with our analyst community in Europe; lead steering committee sessions with European process leads
Contribute to our communication and enablement activities, e.g. building material for our quarterly accreditation updates, leading periodic BI workshops, helping to streamline communication protocols
Work with the team to enable a robust and practical support model, with an emphasis on driving self-service resolutions
Mentor junior Insights team members across the globe
Partner with our data science talent to enable key insights in the content we share with our users
A high level of proficiency with Business Objects, Salesforce.com, and Tableau
Proficiency in SQL (or an equivalent database query language)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to explain complex topics in easy to understand ways
Proven track record in being able to work with users at all levels of the organization, from senior management, to sales representatives, to business analysts, …
Strong enablement skills; the desire and ability to coach, mentor, and train users at various levels
Experience in both project management, e.g. managing large-scale integration and transformation initiatives
Self-learner who is driven to learn new methods and techniques to fulfill business needs
5+ years of relevant experience in a Business Intelligence and/or Analytics capacity
Bachelor’s in Business Management, Economics, Information Systems, or comparable field required (Master’s degree preferred)
