WHAT WE NEED:

The Business Analyst is responsible for the production of business, functional and technical requirement documentation for customer project and internal product management teams. He/she works to understand, quantify, and present the impact of requested changes to the client. The Business Analyst is key to successful development of the product and is deeply involved at all levels of the SDLC from initial concept and planning through to Production. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the quality of software applications, who has good attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Gather customer business requirements by analyzing existing systems and information, interviewing relevant stakeholders and understanding business imperatives to determine the best course of action for system development

• Translate business requirements into “Development-Ready” actionable functional/system requirement documentation for R&D Teams

• With minimal supervision coordinate vendor enhancements, test and prepare technical documentation for system implementation and on-going support

• Perform necessary analysis, fact-finding, and consultation with other stakeholders to identify and resolve production support issues

• Identify program design and implementation issues, functional problems, and project or process related impacts and challenges

• Demonstrate competency in all of the following: analysis, design, testing and implementation

• Identify and solve problems independently and provide consultation and assistance to other members of the Product Teams

• Able to explain technical issues to a variety of audiences, including customers and experienced software developers/architects

• Assist with and conduct requirements discovery sessions with customers

• Provide feedback into product.

• Perform deep-dive analytical support for existing and new solutions.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, Engineering or related field

• 5 years’ experience in a product development environment with a demonstrated record of success in requirements capturing and analysis

• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and apply them to the business environment

• Exposure and understanding of Agile Software Development

• Experience in working alongside UX designers and software developers

• The ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and information

• Familiarity with structured document processing, document management systems and associated technologies such as XML, XSLT and XProc

• The ability to capture technical requirements as dictated by the client and to effectively communicate those requirements verbally and in writing

• Excellent communication skills
