Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Team Leader within the Wealth Consulting Support Group to manage a team who will be focussed on providing support to the DC investment and retirement consultants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, monitoring key Business metrics and development of our people. Team Leaders are expected to provide leadership and to contribute to the development of Mercer’s Wealth Business.

Report To: Emma Townley

Direct Reports: 6-8

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that delivers against key performance targets

  • Manage the delivery of the highest level of service to our internal and external clients consistent with their expectations

  • Work proactively to strengthen relationships with other parts of the business to enhance our ability to deliver service to our clients.

  • Develop, lead and motivate people.

  • Promote performance, skills and career development initiatives and continuously improve levels of career satisfaction amongst our people

  • Identify and implement business solutions to continuously improve the operation of the division.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 4 years’ experience

  • Candidate must be at least grade E or F currently

  • Proven ability to organise your workload and delegate appropriately

  • An ability to mentor and develop your colleagues in Mercer

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate others

  • An ability to prioritise work and liaise effectively with internal and external clients
