Summary of Role:

Dell Bank is the financial services arm of Dell Technologies, focusing primarily with a leasing portfolio in excess of $1 billion. As a result of the banks leasing activity, 100k+ assets are returned and refurbished for sale within the secondary market.

To enhance the sale of these assets, a new online store targeted at consumers has been developed, which the senior eBusiness Senior Advisor will have full responsibility for. The role will be responsible for executing Dell Banks online growth plan in line with margin targets. Additionally, the applicant must work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to ensure a seamless customer experience, in line with UK consumer regulations.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Responsible for online revenue generation and ensuring average selling prices (ASP) of at least 150% of ASPs achieved within wholesale remarketing channel

  • Monitor transactions within Magento platform to ensure issues are quickly identified and addressed

  • Optimise SEO and search PPC marketing activities (including keyword research) across multiple search engines

  • Ownership and management of SEO and PPC monitoring

  • Lead, identify and execute operations of multiple affiliate programs

  • Oversee social media strategy and maintain a strong social media presence

  • Manage and execute email campaigns to maximize revenue & analyse web site performance metrics and provide ROI insights on campaign performance


Mandatory Experience

  • eCommerce vendor management experience, preferably within consumer electronics or other FMCG category

  • Strong online marketing background: Ability to market and sell the online value proposition within the broader business, become an expert on online functionality and tools

  • Strong project and people management skills:ability to engage appropriate cross-functional (and cross-regional) teams required to execute projects through to successful completion while juggling multiple projects at a time. The candidate will engage in effective interaction with IT product management, ecommerce developers, legal, brand, SKU-management, inventory and logistics, customer services, reporting/analytics and finance

  • Analytics and skills:ability to perform analysis to identify strategic pockets of opportunity, evaluate what will provide the biggest return to grow online, execute, monitor and report on results

  • Problem solving and technical aptitude:ability to quickly identify problems, understand electronic communication protocols, and translate technical jargon to architect the best solution for the business

  • The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal and needs to be very comfortable interacting with all levels of the team

  • Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time.

Desirable Experience

  • Magento ecommerce experience

  • HTML and Photoshop experience

  • Online customer support tool experience (e.g. ZenDesk)

  • Google analytics / Omniture experience

  • Payment Gateway experience

  • Experience with online fraud and risk management tools (e.g. Kount)


  • Undergraduate degree and relevant experience

  • Advanced Computer Literacy and MS Office Skills.
