Job Purpose:

A Technology Project Manager must be highly motivated, have a proven ability and experienced delivering technical projects through from Idea to Production.

The successful candidate is expected to manage technical activities through collaboration with senior stakeholders, business and technology partner and corporate clients.

The appropriate candidate will be actively encouraged to seek innovative ideas and fresh thinking for strategic technical solutions and enhancements to business needs.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and resourceful team player who can comfortably lead a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi’s globally innovation lab network.

The successful individual must have background in innovation including design thinking, prototyping and also have solid commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:

Manage application development lifecycle including design, development, implementation, risk and controls.

Measuring activities through the use of OKR’s / Performance Scorecards / Targets and Milestones.

Monitor the projects overall progress within all aspects, as well as proactively responding to any risks or issues, which may arise.

Create / Contribute to new the creation of new innovation project proposals including the pre socialisation with stakeholders, the creation of business cases, cost and revenue projections.

Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes and complexity

Create new and maintain existing partner and vendor relationships.

Effective upward and downward communication on all notable progress to all key stakeholders ,

Manage project budgets, resource plans and deliver against milestones.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

Extensive experience in the financial industry with a specialist in the payments / receivables.

Exposure to the digital money space / Data Science and understanding of its current / potential impact on the traditional payments space.

Experience of delivering complex programs involving multiple stakeholders across different geographical locations with a significant amount of uncertainty.

Experience in managing a portfolio of early stage initiatives through to successful delivery

Experience of applied research, experimental development and early design activities to validate/invalidate ideas.

Skills:

Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and projects loaded with uncertainty.

Experience with managing development of enterprise level end to end software applications (UI, Middle Tier, Backend Integration) is required

Technologically strong and business savvy.

Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role

A bachelor’s degree or post-graduate qualifications (Project Management)

Experience working with innovative and emerging technology.
