The ideal candidate will be passionate about applying his or her linguistic expertise in a commercial setting to increase the accuracy of multilingual NLP systems. This position is an 11-month contract role based in our office in Dublin, Ireland. Review documents in English AND one of: French, German, English or Italian Annotate documents using a variety of schema types to provide morphological, syntactic, semantic and topical descriptions Analyze and evaluate NLP system output Work cross-functionally with software engineers and research scientists to improve NLP system performanceBasic Qualifications B. . /B. Degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or equivalent practical experience Fluency in written and spoken English AND French, German, English or Italian 1+ years of experience with linguistic annotation and/or linguistic formalismsPreferred Qualifications MS or PhD in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics or related discipline. Knowledge of structural aspects of language: morphology, syntax, semantics, etc. Ability to understand and apply complex task-specific guidance with minimal supervision Keen interest in technology, able to quickly grasp technical concepts and learn to use new tools Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage priorities Knowledge of internationalization and localization Practical experience with natural language processing
