Position Description

Position PurposeResponsible for managing the field based account management team on the Island of Ireland, managing both Manufacturer and Retailer Account Portfolios.Responsible for a portfolio of national manufacturer customers across UK & IrelandResponsibility for UK and Ireland Revenue of $35mResponsibility for c3500 retailer locations.Responsible for driving the Irish Leadership Team, which is a cross-functional forum, with ownership of the Island of Ireland P&L:.You will be responsible for executing CHEP’s business strategy as well as developing and implementing specific account plans and mentoring and training the members of your team. Responsibility to mentor a team of Customer Development Managers (CDMs) whilst protecting existing customer revenue, asset productivity, whilst meeting business growth targets and increasing customer satisfaction.

Major/Key Accountabilities• Drive and support the UKI Strategic Vision of being the Easiest choice for our customers.• Deliver Island of Ireland Revenue targets together with UKI National Account responsibility• Manage commercial tender and contract negotiations with customers• Identification and conversion of growth opportunities.• Management of the Irish P&L• Deliver Asset Productivity targets and Leakage targets• Drive improved customer satisfaction and engagement measured via NPS scorecard.• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through a consistent service via targeted customer visits in line with company and customer expectations.• You will spend time in the field working with your team driving the commercial excellence programme.• Ensure your team develop and implement joint strategic plans with key customers addressing topics such as growth, cost reduction, sustainability and ease of business which will all be documented in a JBP.• Manage key account metrics for volume, revenue, debt, stock and growth and manage delivery to budget for your teams portfolio across Manufacturer and Retailer Accounts.• Work with the Customer Operations Director to formulate a business plan for each customer account to protect and grow the account in order to meet and exceed annual targets.• Maintain relationships at all levels with customers in your portfolio managing the interface between CHEP and the customer.• Through understanding customer needs ensure account plans and supply chain maps are in place for key strategic accounts. Working with specific cross function teams internally and externally to deliver positive results against the plans.• Through understanding supply chain dynamics and specific needs of each customer you will need to create an awareness of the full CHEP equipment products and services at all levels within the DMU, including LMS and FMS.• Work closely with internal functions to ensure we are maximising operational programmes to recover revenue in your portfolio• Lead, mentor and develop a team of high performing CDMs• Review individual development plans, complete the PDP process, and manage your direct reports career plans.• Maximise Engagement and Enablement of your direct reports through making it easier to do business, internally and externally, measured via BES• Engage with CSR partner , FEBA to delivery reduction in Food Waste and maximise food donations to eliminate hunger in Ireland.

Qualifications• A minimum of a Business related degree, a Masters would be preferable.

Experience• Minimum of 5 -7 years proven track record in a field based Account Management role.• A history of delivering year on year growth via new business successes• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills• People management experience desirable
