Description

The Business Office Lead (BoL) candidate will be a liaison between the CATE Engineering domain and higher level organizations for escalations, business office deliverables, reporting and other centralized functions.

The Business Office Lead (BoL) candidate will be a liaison between the CATE Engineering domain and higher level organizations for escalations, business office deliverables, reporting and other centralized functions.

This person should have a strong project management background and also and understanding of technologies and how they are used in a large global corporation.

He/She will need to know how to communicate well with senior level management and engineering teams and explain to each the needs of their role.

This is a high profile role with a lot of accountability between senior management and the technical domain.

The candidate needs to be a self starter and be able to balance many different responsibilities at one time. While the role is more project/administrative management focused the need to understand technology is important in managing the domains requirements.

Other key areas to have experience will be with Human Resources functions and Financial Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Roadmaps and Book of Work oversight and coordination

  • Information Security liaison with the Domain team

  • Deliver weekly reports to the Global Engineering Head for the respective domain and be able to explain areas covered and account for the data

  • Facilitate weekly Global Engineering Head managers meeting

  • Facilitate hot topic discussions for the domain in senior level management meetings

  • Meet with the Global Engineering Head one on one to gather domain requirements and deliver CATE level deliverables to the domain

  • Act as the domain advocate with other organizations

  • Manage domain’s work slate in the CATE work management system

  • Manage domain headcount, open reqs, contractors and recruitment activities

  • Manage new hire onboarding activities

  • Track global location strategy for the Domain and ensure we are moving toward the Global Engineering Head yearly goal

  • Manage domains real estate footprint and act as point of contact for moves, add and changes to staff in each location

  • Facilitate Domain offsite and Townhall meetings

  • Coordinate yearly budget gathering activities for inclusion in CATE overall P and L and CTI capital budget

  • Monitor and reporting on domains monthly financials to the Global Engineering Head

Qualifications

  • Strong background with Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience with SharePoint web application

  • Self Starter with ability to deliver on expectations with minimal supervision

  • Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions

  • Quickly grasp/master new requirements and related knowledge

  • Manage tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes

  • Team player in matrixed organization
