Position Objective

Global Trade Portfolio Management (GTPM) is responsible for document collection, data configuration, new client on-boarding, covenant tracking, portfolio review and asset sales for different Trade client programs.

Key factors which contribute to support a positive client experience and the customer sales growth strategy are a strong and agile infrastructure, which includes a quality middle office team to manage program requirements and support customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation, tracking and follow-up of set-up request for Seller and Account Debtors, including any necessary activities and checklist for buyer onboarding on the program.

  • Document collection, review and on-boarding of Account Debtors into product processor.

  • Management of Citi client initiated limits as required.

  • Portfolio monitoring not limited to financial covenants and their review for timeliness and accuracy. This will include monitoring past due non-financial covenants, program triggers and obligations under insurance policies.

  • Portfolio management for Buyer related activities, including Citi DRM (debt rating model) renewal deadlines and interaction with seller and buyer as per program design.

  • Review and monitor assets held-for-investments / assets held-for-sale and strong interaction with Operations for execution of sale.

  • Manage and own escalations through resolution including root cause, analysis, identify fixes and preventative measures.

  • Interface with cross functional partners including Product , the Relationship team and Operations to deliver excellent client experience.

  • Partner with product teams on Portfolio assessment for new transactions by handling customer/non-customer identification and managing Citi DRM (debt rating model) run requests

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of client relationships.

  • Act as an escalation point for Trade Finance clients and the Citi Relationship team, Product and Operations.

  • Manage and own escalations through resolution including root cause, analysis, identify fixes and preventative measures.

  • Individual will act as a liaison between Trade Product and Citi Client. Will be required to handle customer service inquiries related to the job description and to be proactive. The individual must be prepared to think like a partner, identify bottle-necks and suggest solutions.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

  • Project Management background

  • Accounts Receivable / Credit Management knowledge

  • Familiarity with Insurance Programs

  • Knowledge of Trade and Trade products

  • Customer Relations exposure

  • General understanding of banking requirements, compliance and internal controls

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Multi-lingual – Spanish / Portuguese (a plus but not essential).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to understand a variety of legal documentation from a business/legal perspective.

  • Strong presentation skills.
