What you will be doing:

  • Database design, development and implementation for SaaS products in a multi-tenant environment Storage and retrieval activities along with data flow and analysis
  • Development of long and short term requirements for database administration and design
  • Developing database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system
  • Analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts
  • Writing efficient T-SQL for 50+TB of data
  • Communicating well and working closely with Development team for various projects
  • Database performance optimization, profiling and DB monitoring
  • Translate a set of requirements and data into a usable database schema by creating or recreating adhoc queries, scripts and macros, updates existing queries, and creates new ones to manipulate data
  • Communicating well and working closely with Development team for various projects
  • Work in an agile, collaborative environment to implement solutions for short term as well as long term projects

What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:

  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • Strong experience as a Database Engineer in a fast-paced MS SQL 2008/2014/2016 environment.
  • Advanced expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Clustering, SQL2016, SQL Profiler, DMV usage
  • Advanced expertise in database design, implementation and deployment of very large databases
  • Solid experience with solving issues with very large databases (multiple TB) and in a distributed database environment
  • Demonstrated experience using profiling and monitoring tools with Microsoft SQL server
  • Good experience in C#
  • Capable of independently solving complex problems
  • Knowledge of concurrency
  • Passionate about writing and delivering quality code
  • Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills including mentoring junior staff
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload
  • Exceptional sense of ownership and ability to work with high performing teams to improve self and team

Highly Desired:

  • Hands-on Experience with Team Foundation Server, Azure
  • Experience in NoSQL
