Business Intelligence (BI) is a branch of software engineering focused on achieving operational excellence in enterprises through the use of insights derived from data. As the world’s biggest supplier of BI systems, SAP ensure that companies can efficiently manage staff and resources through the use of analytics and reporting.

The Dublin BI Predictive Analytics team will be responsible for the creation and extension of machine learning offerings in this space. The team consists of developers, QAs and data scientists, and will work at the forefront of this challenging topic.

You will also get to work in our next generation AppHaus. The AppHaus is a unique physical space for software development, and it is a living embodiment of the philosophy of Design Thinking.

Main responsibilities include the following:

  • Automate continuous integration and deployment processes

  • Facilitate and own infrastructure requests for various software projects

  • Possess a drive to "automate everything"

  • Help the dev teams by pro-actively identifying infrastructure and build bottlenecks, and working to alleviate them

  • Own the creation of automated, containerized cloud application platforms, and DevOps processes that use those platforms

  • Integrate various components and build tools that allow the team to operate more efficiently

  • Act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems that span several different platforms

  • Proactive design and implementation of automated monitoring solutions


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  • 5 years' experience delivering and maintaining continuous integration and deployment infrastructure, with a strong preference for this experience to have been in a cloud (SaaS) environment

  • Strong scripting experience in bash, Windows batch: also beneficial to have Python, Groovy, Ruby or Nodejs

  • Experience with continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins

  • Fluency with Docker or other containers

  • Experience working with Nagios, Ansible, Puppet or Chef

  • Be a Git guru

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

  • Familiarity with microservices infrastructure needs (such as

  • Familiarity with Java and Maven

  • Public Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)

There may also be an opportunity to gain exposure in technologies and areas such as Machine Learning, Big Data, Spark, Hadoop etc. Experience of SAP products would be an advantage.
