The individual will be responsible for the provision of broad based Human Resource service. This is a varied role with responsibility for the day-to-day general HR activities and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work with the HR Business Partnering Manager to ensure a tangible business partnership is maintained between HR and the LOB

  • Deliver a HR service, by providing generalist HR support, communication and guidance

  • Act as a direct interface for employees and managers to provide advice and support on HR related questions on HR policies, procedures and practices.

  • Exercises utmost judgement within generally defined practices and policies to determine best methods for solution

  • Drive a positive employee relations and performance management culture

  • Coaching Managers in relation to policies and people management skills

  • Drive the career path framework and training and development frameworks

  • Continuous development of the competency framework

  • Providing support to the HR Business Partnering Manager in compensation modeling and liaise with specialist groups as appropriate

  • Management and communication of key processes

  • Support, co-ordinate and present in HR briefing sessions on topical HR issues

  • Ensure HR Business Partner and Management are informed of any HR related agendas/issues which require attention

  • Ensuring standard proven best practices and high quality service for customer queries

  • Reinforce a positive image of the company in all initiatives

  • Keeps abreast of employment law to ensure company remains compliant

  • Generate ideas for continuous improvement and implements approved suggestions

  • Communicate and escalate any issues

  • Ad hoc / varying HR projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5 - 8 years generalist HR experience in a dynamic fast paced commercial organisation

  • Relevant third level education or CIPD qualification

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent PC skills (spreadsheets, word-processing, web expertise, database) and administration skills are required

  • Knowledge of databases, or reporting tools, or previous experience of statistical analysis a distinct advantage.

  • Working knowledge of Irish legislation.

  • Fluency in a second European language an advantage.

Partners with business units/divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

Join a leading HR group consulting with management and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. 5 years generalist experience and BA/BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.
