Cyber Security - Design & Engineering Professional
Designs and builds secure system infrastructures and architectures by establishing business requirements, translating them into secure technical solutions, and testing and ensuring the performance and capacity of security solutions.
Modifies and delivers company standard cybersecurity system solutions based on client security needs, industry requirements, and an understanding of security technology, architecture, infrastructure and engineering
Develops suggestions to enhance the cybersecurity of a client's or company's technology solution architecture and infrastructure
Operates as a key delivery team member on cybersecurity teams and suggests on methods to improve the security solution
Applies applicable knowledge of the client's business and industry to gather and develop cybersecurity requirements specifications
Collects output from system architects to design and build a secure infrastructure
Tests components of cybersecurity solutions to ensure performance and quality
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study
Typically 2+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills:
General Cyber and IT security knowledge
General understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures
Working knowledge of secure system architecture and infrastructure design and development
General HPE-UX, Windows and Linux skills
Working knowledge in relevant program/scripting languages
General understanding of security standards and best practices
General risk assessment and management skills
Theoretical understanding of networking and network security
Applied knowledge of relevant security tools and products
General project management skills
General understanding of SSL/TLS, HTTPS protocol and other secure network transmission mechanisms
