The Quality Analyst will be dedicated to Live QA execution across multiple titles including AAA EA Games, and EA Mobile and will be supporting the primary test execution layer for all franchises and all platforms in the Live QA team in Galway, Ireland. This role will serve as support for the primary Live QA support, and help execute Live QA test plans that ultimately improve the player journey and experience across our titles.

The Challenge Ahead:

The Quality Analyst and team are accountable for planning and executing test coverage on a Live QA release, recording results, resolving defects and ultimately validating the content for release.The Quality Analyst will be able to demonstrate sound technical platform and game knowledge and help write test plans and scripts for each title deliverable and execute them.

What a Live Quality Analyst does at EA:

As a Quality Analyst, your primary focus will be performing a variety of testing types across multiple features and titles such as, but not limited to exploratory testing, requirements based testing, Live QA verification and ad hoc testing, perform confirmation and regression testing on fixed bugs across multiple titles as well as define the player journey of a title and ensure test plans and scripts are shared across teams and executed within tight deadlines and across multiple platforms while tracking of defects within proper pipelines to resolution.You will also spend collaborating daily with members of CE, QA, Certification, 1st party, Production and Development, drafting detailed test plans and test suites and executing them. Additionally, you will be able to recognize and accurately set the severity of issues, help prioritize issues in the bug database to expedite bug-fixing efforts, provide feedback on the effectiveness and efficiency of team processes and methodologies and work with onsite and offsite teams to help drive the title to quality.


  • QA/testing experience

  • Mobile experience: QA testing or Engineering or automation on mobile platforms

  • Project Management: Certification or professional experience in Software Project Management

  • Platforms: advanced user knowledge Xbox, PlayStation and PC


  • To be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a success-based attitude. Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and features and meet responsibilities without constant supervision.

  • No 9 to 5 mentality – this is a challenging environment that mandates flexibility

  • Ability to understand complex architecture dependencies with other systems.

  • Ability to understand QAs involvement throughout the development cycle.

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify risks and escalate to applicable stakeholders.

  • Strong observational skills, analytical, and detail-oriented.

  • Strong tracking and organizational skills.

  • Passion to learn new technologies and systems with high degree of ownership.

  • Ability to be flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks.

  • Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, etc.) Proficiency with PC, Sony, and Microsoft platforms.

  • Ability to problem solve by finding root causes and proposing viable solutions.

  • Strong sense of urgency to mitigate risks and potential areas of concern proactively rather than reactively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
