What You'll Do

The Cisco Spark engineering team seeks a senior Software Engineer to develop and test a broad range of next generation features as part of its Software Development Team.

This is a ground floor opportunity to work in the next phase of product growth and convergence in the Cloud Collaboration space.

If you were to join our team, here are some of the things you would do in a typical week:

  • Act as the software development automation lead for a team of Software Engineers engaged in the test & release of SaaS Collaboration software.

  • Influence management & technical leadership on implementing effective software development automation.

  • Mentor other software development professionals on the most appropriate product test approaches & implementation.

  • Coordinate product build/test automation efforts across multiple Scrum teams.

  • Work in a scrum team, participate in team planning, stand-up meetings and end of sprint demonstrations.

Who You Are

Here are things that we think are important for this role:

  • Strong direct & cross team leadership experience, including cross Scrum test automation initiatives delivery - servant leader mindset.

  • Strong knowledge of software development, test & delivery methodologies. Hands-on experience in end-to-end Cloud product testing.

  • Experience in testing and administering in Cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure)

  • Agile development experience

  • You work well in a team. When things go wrong, you confidently own & efficiently lead the resolution.

  • You are an adept communicator, capable of tailoring your message to the audience - graduate engineer to senior leadership level.

  • Excellent test automation / product development level coding skills

Minimum Qualification

  • B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD or equivalents in the areas of Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent disciplines

There are a few things that will help your application:

  • Java/Python/Java programming skills

  • Development experience on multiple platforms

  • Knowledge of code repositories and test automation frameworks
