At our Operations Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on delivering premium quality product to our customers on time. The Manufacturing Supervisor role in Operations is directly involved in managing the operator team and working with the support team to deliver our vision.


You will contribute effectively and build relationships with colleagues across functions to achieve Business Unit goals, objectives and cost improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy. You will participate in and lead Continuous Improvement Projects using Lean Six Sigma tools to improve overall business efficiency.

You will be accountable for key metrics such as Quality, Cost and Service, demonstrate a clear understanding and ownership of departmental budgets and spending control. You will provide effective communication with direct team, leading daily, weekly monthly meetings to manage progress and share information and provide leadership through motivating cross functional team to ensure effective delivery of departmental/site goals and objectives.

You will support and facilitate a beneficial resolution of issues, effectively mediate conflict to promote a friendly climate, good morale and team cohesiveness. You will ensure all production targets are consistently achieved and create a work environment that ensures the highest standard of quality performance. You will continuously manage performance of team members through performance appraisal process, providing ongoing coaching, counselling and employee development. You will generate a culture of innovation through identifying innovative solutions to process problems and actively encourage team members to share new ideas and fresh approaches and encourage employee engagement through proactive participation in Employee Involvement Engagement Self Development initiatives. You will be leading by example, demonstrate Medtronic Traits in all daily interactions with customers and colleagues.


We are looking to form a panel of personnel who have or are actively pursuing an applicable Third level 8 Degree and with 2-3 years Supervisory or Operations Support experience in a highly regulated environment. We are looking for dynamic team players who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. . Candidates must be IT proficient (knowledge of SAP and ME an advantage). A proven track record in people management and a good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma are desirable.
