Position: FinancialAccountant – International Accounting Group

Location: Cork

Job Purpose:

The job incumbent will work closely with the Accounting Manager - International Accounting Group (IAG) with responsibility for Corporate Accounting, Tax Accounting, Integration Accounting, Month End and Board Reporting activities. The IAG Group in Europe is currently involved and will continue to be involved in a number of exciting McKesson entities managing a range of activities and working with a range of teams across McKesson’s wider structure. He/she must create and sustain good working relationships with colleagues both internationally and domestically across various Business Units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on various IAG initiatives across theinternational structure.

  • Prepare McKesson Statutory audits across arange of entities and jurisdictions; interact with the independent auditors to ensure compliance withaudit requirements and ensure filing deadlines and other requirements areactively met and managed.

  • Working with the IAG group to manage arange of month end activities. This will include managing a portfolio ofloans across various entities in a complex organisation structure.

  • Assisting in the integration of other variousactivities. This will also involve the integration of possible newacquisitions into the McKesson reporting structure, ensuring detailedproject plans are developed and deadlines understood and taking an activepart in the accounting integration and consolidation of any new entitiesto ensure appropriate corporate reporting.

  • Conduct research and prepare findings onad hoc accounting issues as directed and producing detailed reports toassist with any queries.

  • Preparing the Transfer Pricing entries forreview. This will involve taking ownership of the process monthly process andpresenting the transfer pricing numbers for review and submission.

  • Work to managing the accounting for the cashpooling process in place and work to make the process as efficient andeffective as possible.

  • Prepare monthly,quarterly or other periodic financial statements and board packs for review forvarious European and non-European entities.

  • Provide support and guidance on anytechnical accounting issues and projects as directed.

  • Work to streamline processes and putstructures in place to support achievement of deadlines.

  • Build and maintain strong workingrelationships with colleagues across a range of business units andcorporate divisions Corporate Treasury, Legal and Tax.

Education/Training:

ACA qualified

Experience:

6 years experience in all areas of General Accounting (incl US GAAP, IFRS & UK and Irish GAAP). Experience of working in a multinational environment, interacting with global teams is essential.

The position requires:

· Experience in external reporting and intercompany processes.
