Purpose of Job:
Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for the co-ordination of the logistics of licensed pharmaceutical products, in compliance with the US & Canadian CBP regulations and US FDA regulations. The manufacturing facilities are located in sites in Europe, Asia, Canada, Israel and China.
The post holder will be responsible for the collection and delivery within the temperature controls as defined in NorthStar quality management system of product through the supply chain from the manufacturer to the NRDC, McKesson packaging facilities in the US and Sivem (Canadian generic pharmaceutical label) warehouse in Canada.
Tracking Air, Sea & Road shipments utilising Freight Forwarders web based system to update NorthStar SQL database.
Support the Logistics Manager in the monitoring of Freight Forwarder performance. Assist in the monitoring of KPI’s and issuing of bi-monthly scorecards.
Ensure ASL (approved supplier lists) are available and accurate.
Ensure Approved route maps are available and accurate.
Verification and justification of additional freight charges i.e. detention, FDA holds, port examinations.
Working with Freight forwarders to resolve shipments on hold by FDA, USDA, CBP.
Process for the importation of controlled drug substances is followed.
Apply for CBP rulings for new product launches.
Investigate and resolution of logistic non-market complaints.
Issue weekly in-transit reports.
Help in the management of High security seals for NorthStar Sea consignments.
Comply with NorthStar quality system which includes the raising of Change Controls, CAPA’s and Deviations.
Support the Logistics Manager to help improve quality in the supply chain through new initiatives and continuous improvement.
Work with NorthStar Planners to ensure timely collection and delivery of inventory.
Ensure that CMO’s comply with NorthStar guidelines including adherence to GDP best practices.
Liaise with NorthStar RXLLC team on logistics related matters.
Support department and business to achieve goals and objectives.
Support and demonstrate McKesson shared values and principles – ICARE and ILEAD.
Minimum third level qualification in a business related discipline.
3 year’s relevant logistics experience in a cGMDP regulated organization.
Knowledge of the US CBP regulatory requirements, GDP and US FDA regulations.
Knowledge of temperature control in transportation.
Knowledge and Skills:
