Brown-Forman Assistant Retail Manager in Slane, Ireland
GENERAL/ DUTY MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
Daily responsibility for opening the business ensuring that the building and group assets are safe and secure for operation.
Daily responsibility for the closing of the business ensuring that the building and group assets are safe and secure before leaving.
Daily planning of all aspects of Homeplace operations including but not limited to:
Managing all bookings for the day both private and public.
Ensuring all team members are briefed at the start of their shift so they are informed of previous daily performance, forecasts, key business updates, KPI’s and safety notices.
Ensuring all systems are running efficiently and workstations are well stocked and tidy.
Effectively monitor the guest experience throughout the day via use of standards checklists and continuous monitoring of onsite activity.
Monitor quality standards and procedures via ‘management by walking round’ at regular intervals throughout each day.
Monitor the effectiveness of all staff/guest interaction and give daily feedback to teams and individuals.
Oversee the daily security of all cash on site and monitor compliance with the cash handling requirements as laid out in group policies.
Ensure all aspects of the exhibition are in working order and any technical or visual problems are rectified efficiently.
Report any maintenance issues identified by daily standards checklist and follow up to ensure completion.
Line Management of daily operations team within the building including but not limited to retail team members.
Operational management of all public spaces internally and externally including any areas with third party suppliers.
To be solutions driven and deal with issues before escalating upwards.
To deal with all aspects of day to day team enquiries, providing solutions and giving answers to personnel as much as is possible, escalating any bigger issues to the Retail Manager.
Ensure that company standards of Health and Safety are maintained at all times throughout the attraction.
