You will help build insight and action plans around competitor intelligence and industry trends to ensure our clients remain forward thinking and agile.
At manager level, we expect candidates to have a breadth of experience of strategy related client-facing delivery (5-7 years’ experience) which will include a number of the areas outlined below:
Growth strategy, to include activities such as baselining current business performance, benchmarking a company’s performance to its peers and competitors, conducting trend analyses to assess current market landscape, identifying growth levers, visioning and prioritising to develop a set of strategic choices, and guiding organisations through business model reinvention.
Operating Model Design and Development to include Interim and Target Operating Models, facilitation of workshop-based processes across multiple stakeholder groups, working experience and understanding of delivering Level 0-3 detail across operating model layers.
Strategy implementation to successfully implement a strategy across a large complex organisation including the design and development of long term strategic roadmaps, implementation planning, short term plans, critical success factors and development of best practice models to integrate strategy delivery.
Strategic Cost Reduction to include the undertaking of financial and organisational baselines, operational analysis to understand cost drivers, prioritising opportunities.
Proven experience in programme management with a strong working knowledge of best practice tools and methodologies.
Skills and Attributes
In this context we are looking for an experienced strategy practitioner at manager level (5-7 years’ experience)
Responsibilities and required skills:
Ability to effectively structure and manage large and complex work streams and/or entire engagements
Evidence of strong innovation, problem-solving and structured thinking skills
Intellectual strength and flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into a workable solution which can be delivered
Rigorous focus on hard economics combined with fact based decision making
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with an ability to succinctly and creatively present robust and evidence-based messages
Execution-focused fully capable of supporting clients from strategy to implementation
Experience of running and motivating teams through challenging strategy projects or relevant transferable experience
Highly driven and committed to achieving solutions with the ability to work under pressure
Strong interest and commitment to developing and delivering leading edge solutions for clients
Creation of impactful thought leadership for use in business development, engagement delivery, as well as marketing to build EY’s profile.
Coaching and development of junior team members and managing commercials (pricing, billing, margin management)
Ability to build effective, long-lasting relationships with clients
Ability to develop and deliver high quality output against project objectives and meet tight deadlines
Strong academic record including a third level degree
Proven track record from a strategy team/practice and/or a strategy consulting house
