At our Human Resource Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on recognizing the personal worth of employees by providing an employment framework that allows personal satisfaction in work accomplished, security, advancement opportunity, and means to share in the company's success.
You will contribute to the Human Resource team by working with one of the HR Centers of Expertise – Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards and Employee Relations. You will be responsible for preparing drafts and/or revision of company policies and communicate as appropriate. Evaluate the effectiveness of employee services on an ongoing basis and make recommendations as appropriate to improve its benefit to the employees and the company. You will contribute to determining employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices, researching industry and employment trends, tracking legislation and estimating impact. Meet with relevant stakeholders to identify and resolve ER issues. Develop a good relationship with SIPTU representatives to proactively address routine issues. Support and drive ad-hoc projects as required. You will support the implementation of the performance management process by providing guidance. You will participate in hiring for external and internal positions, interview and select line and technical staff and provide interview feedback. You will co-ordinate and support the induction and on boarding of new employees You will promote the understanding of company policies and procedures and proactively take responsibility for ensuring the success of a variety of HR site initiatives.
We are looking for a qualified person to Degree/Masters level 8 in Human Resources or related discipline and desirably with CIPD qualification or equivalent. You are a dynamic team player and leader and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. IT literacy (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) are essential and knowledge of HR systems (e.g. WorkDay) is a distinct advantage. Strong project management, organization and effective time management skills are desirable. A second language is desirable – French/Italian/Spanish/Polish. You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
