At EY, we are expanding our Advisory practice and specifically building our Performance Improvement (PI) team. Due to this expansion we are seeking to recruit high achieving individuals to be part of our growing business.

Currently we are recruiting business consultants primarily from Senior Consultant through to Senior Manager levels for the Advisory team.

We are seeking individuals with significant client-side advisory experience or individuals who have gained project and programme delivery experience within large recognised organisations.

As a Senior Manager in PPM, you will:

  • Deliver and manage large scale transformation programmes and projects to time, cost and quality;

  • Build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities;

  • Create concise, high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems;

  • Lead presentations and proposals for medium complex projects or elements of highly complex projects, and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals;

  • Create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership;

  • Driving improvements in business processes, you will serve as a role model for Quality & Risk Management (QRM) and make sure that project teams understand and comply with our Q&RM guidelines;

As a respected senior professional you will communicate effectively with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff to build sustainable competencies.


Engagement responsibilities include:

  • Work confidently at senior client levels, building 'trusted advisor' relationships;

  • Deliver programme and project deliverables to time, cost and quality within appropriate governance frameworks;

  • Solve business and technology issues through collaboration and teaming;

  • Apply knowledge and experience to shape services to clients and present project outputs via concise, high quality work products;

  • Manage the financial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders;

  • Lead and participate in business development initiatives;

  • Build strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other service lines.People responsibilities include:

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff;

  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff;

  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training professionals;

  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills;

  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.You will have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:

  • At least 10 years within a blue chip consulting firm, industry or government organisation (strong track record in consulting is highly desirable);

  • Experience of managing large scale transformation programmes, providing advice and guidance on programmes, managing and working in a Project Management Office (PMO), and auditing projects and programmes;

  • Experience of managing complex projects and programmes (managing a budget of >10m on projects);

  • Senior stakeholder management and communication experience;

  • Demonstrable experience in change management;

  • PMO and programme governance;

  • Proven experience in business development;

  • Strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or project related area;

  • Prince2, PMP or equivalent certification;

At this Senior Manager level, there will be opportunities to work
