About the Role:

Aon Hewitt are seeking to appoint a Retirement Consulting Associate based in the Consulting Practice in the Dublin Office.

This is an exciting new opportunity for the successful candidate to Empower their career, and transition to a role that have the potential to evolve into a client facing consultant role within the Consulting Practice in Dublin. As a Retirement Consulting Associate, you will be instrumental in adding value to Aon Hewitt’s relationship with clients and ensuring that we deliver high quality, tailored advice.

The Retirement Consulting Associate will work closely with Consultants as the primary day to day contact for a portfolio of clients, including preparing reports, attending regular client meetings; assisting with the provision of advice to ensure client needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support to consultants, in delivering and managing the clients in their portfolio in accordance with client servicing procedures.

  • Building strong relationships with consultants and the portfolio of clients

  • Independently respond to queries and requests from Consultants, providers and clients

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments and assist with the identification of revenue generation opportunities for existing clients

  • Proactively participating in client project work as required

  • Communicating with clients effectively at all levels, in order to maintain and further develop our excellent client relationships

  • Attend and input into client meetings as required

  • You will contribute to the delivery on member presentation materials, and will deliver member presentations as required from time to time

  • Ensure any appropriative legislative, regulatory, business, practice and professional standards are followed.

  • Analyses information and suggests approaches to work and prepares and reviews standard reports.

  • Identify and refer cross selling opportunities for the Actuarial and Investment Practices along with any other cross business opportunities across Aon Ireland

  • Contribute to the Consultants Priorities Group by assisting and implementing structures which will result in streamlining and creating efficiencies in our client management

About You

  • Holding an awareness of companywide capabilities that can suit our client's needs

  • Experience and successful management of client service delivery

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and producing quality deliverables on time

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage and plan for multiple projects

  • High level of self- motivation and proactivity.

  • Proactively contributing to the success of the team

  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills to anticipate future needs/issues,

  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritise and execute tasks in high pressure environment.

  • Confidence in managing clients queries and expectations

  • Strong communications, presentation and interpersonal skills with effective client management skills.

  • Proactively participate in continuous professional development

  • Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point.

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years relevant industry experience, specifically Pensions

  • Have or working towards the completion of relevant Professional qualification with up to date CPD as appropriate and meeting any relevant regulatory requirements of the role.
