Dell EMC Live Optics ™ is the next generation of IT workload profiling created to allow a modern method of collecting, visualizing, and sharing performance and design characteristics for IT environments. Currently Live Optics is utilized in 170 countries by IT Professionals as well as employees and partners of the entire Dell Technologies family of companies. Our software is ground zero for creating a digital experience between vendors and their customers in the marketplace. Live Optics is a blend of big data, social media, and hard core analytics. The Live Optics team is looking for an exceptional, highly motivated and ambitious team player to build and deliver a best of breed software stack to our customers.
As a Software Engineer, you will design and implement key Live Optics features, often spanning multiple components within the backend infrastructure. Core responsibilities include:
Participating in the development and delivery of the Live Optics Software Stack, using a variety of tools and frameworks
Coding software solutions to a high level of testability, modularity and maintainability
Code Reviews, Unit testing, documenting and implementing software best practices
Working independently and as part of a software development team in Cork and the US
Participating in scheduling of software deliverables
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
Background in C#, .NET, Windows Server development
Experience in Client-server API development
Relational Database development experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Domain experience in the following: Storage Arrays, Backup and Data Protection Software Products, Database products, Hypervisor virtualization
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure stack
Linux (or other Unix) development experience
