Key Responsibilities

The Global Supply-Chain Quality Engineering team in Global Operations manage and develop suppliers to optimise product quality. This involves a dual focus on Supplier Management and Product Quality through the Supply Chain and into Dell Customer applications.

  • Works closely with suppliers, sustaining groups and extended core team to ensure product predictability at the supplier.

  • Assists to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components.

  • Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis.

  • Drives implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions.

  • Provides recommendations and risk assessments on new suppliers and new process technology.

  • Responsible for sustaining activities and process activities.

  • Responsible for driving the continuous improvement plan

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Electronic, Mechanical or Manufacturing)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a cross functional team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Set & consistently meet challenging SMART goals

  • Accept responsibility for team as well as self

  • Create & maintain a positive climate

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in supplier or product quality management
