LICENSE COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Want to take on a role that is high profile and challenging that will see your career move to the next level? The EMEA Licensing, Contract and Compliance team (LCC) is at the centre of managing customer and partner license compliance for Microsoft’s EMEA Licensing business.

Reporting to the regional Licensing Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for working with Microsoft’s Enterprise, SMC, One Commercial Partner, and Software Asset Management teams across the region to deliver high quality license compliance reviews.

You will be driving engagement with Microsoft’s customers and partners to ensure appropriate licensing and contractual compliance. As a result you will need to demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization up to and including C-level.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Drive evangelization of the License Compliance function, ensuring coverage targets are being met. Work in collaboration with Account Managers, SAM and Compliance Leads and Subsidiary Controllers.

  2. Project manage the compliance verification of customers in a specific regional territory from planning to settlement phase. Through that process, you will ensure strong controls and best practices are being deployed in support of Microsoft’s business, driving compliance with contractual Terms and Conditions.

  3. Negotiate settlements with Customers upon completion of 3 rd party license reviews and engage directly during the settlement phase to ensure all appropriate findings and recommendations are clearly understood by the Customer.

  4. Negotiate settlements with Partners upon completion of license reviews and engage directly during the settlement phase to ensure all appropriate findings and recommendations are clearly understood by the Partner.

  5. Report to stakeholders on progress, key metrics and open issues on a recurring basis. Work with local SAM&C teams to learn & innovate from compliance reviews.

Success is measured by meeting LCC coverage targets, Segment/Geo/absolute), execution excellence & completeness, as well as driving process/policy changes that improve overall LCC program execution.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

The right candidate would be someone with the following skills/ experiences:

Results driven and Customer focused, An Individual who can command respect at boardroom levels through presentation and gravitas of personality, coupled with the intellectual horsepower to solve complex issues:

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs,

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure

  • Strong Influencing skills, with proven ability to influence Execs and Business Decision Makers

  • Strong communication skills: ability to deliver difficult messages with empathy and certainty

  • Influencing skills to drive resolution and secure settlement

  • Problem Solving: intellectual horsepower to solve complex licensing issues.

  • Strong project & program management skills. Excellent in execution and in vendor engagement

  • Experience in Account Planning, direct negotiations, and presenting with gravitas up to C-level.

  • A Bachelors and Master’s degree in one of the following fields of study: Business, Finance, Communications, Information Technology

  • 5-7 Years relevant business experience
