The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for planning and execution of verification and validation activities for sustaining and new product development. They will work closely with R&D/QA Management, Project and Product Managers, Development, and other Quality Assurance Engineers in Dublin and in our US and India offices.

Key Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Develop functional tests, including verification and validation protocols, ensuring test coverage for all aspects of products
  • Perform stabilisation, verification and validation testing as part of Design Control
  • Provide clear summary of test results, working with R&D and Product Management to prioritise issues
  • Help team manage various test environments to ensure proper coverage throughout V&V phases
  • Manage and develop automated tests for applications using appropriate tools
  • Ensure timely submission of Design History File documentation as part of the Design Control process
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of all company products
  • Liaise and support projects in other LBS sites, working with teams in US and India
  • Ensure Quality System procedures are adhered to throughout the product development cycle
  • Proactively help to develop and maintain the company QMS in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements


  • A diploma or degree in an appropriate discipline, Computer Science preferred but not essential

Desired Skills/Experience: * 3 years’ experience in a similar role * Experience with SCRUM or other Agile development methodologies * Experience in the Medical Device/IVD field with exposure to design control regulations. * Good planning and organisational skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while juggling several priorities * Outstanding written and oral communication skills * Logical and methodical approach to test definition, ensuring exhaustive coverage of system functionality * Excellent understanding of software development process, and role of testing within it * Ability to define tests which are designed to ‘break’ applications as opposed to proving they work * Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and contribute to technical discussions and documents All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of our pre-employment drug screening and background/criminal check.
