LinkedIn Senior Data Scientist in Dublin, Ireland

LinkedIn’s Analytics team leverages big data to empower business decisions and deliver data-driven insights, metrics, and tools in order to drive member engagement, business growth, and monetization efforts. are now seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a unique opportunity directly supporting global leadership. This person will work closely with various cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, sales, engineering, finance, and operations to develop and deliver metrics, analyses, solutions, and insights, with actionable recommendations for our international strategy. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the best data people anywhere in an environment which truly values (read: is obsessed with) data-driven decisions. Your sand-box will be a dataset representing an economic graph of the world. Successful candidates will have a passion for data exploration, automation, and plain old ‘getting stuff done’. and mash-up massive amounts of data to mine useful business insights;Design and develop core business metrics, create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track them and extract useful business insights;Work with different business and technical teams across the company to establish unified definitions, systems, and data governance for key metrics. scalable backend solutions for automation of data processing;Develop predictive/segmentation models to understand member behavior and impact on LinkedIn product/marketing/sales;Initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidanceCommunicate findings to internal teams and evangelize data-driven business decisionsBasic QualificationsMasters or PhD degree in a quantitative or hard science discipline: statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, engineering, applied mathematics, economics, physics, chemistry3+ years of industry experience in technical role, or in relevant industry (e-commerce, social network, job site, large sales operation)Programming skills with Python, R, Java, or equivalent language. skills with SQL (psql/mysql/presto/hive/etc)Experience with ETL (moving data between systems)Experience with some data visualization tool (eg.
