Primary job role:

The area is responsible for ensuring the settlement of all client trades prior to the market cut off. As such the main role will be that of controls ensuring that queues are maintained; ensuring that the investigation of trades is completed with the aim of meeting tight deadlines, emails responded to, resolving escalated enquiries and ensuring that all Payments are entered correctly.

Citi's Direct Custody and Clearing provides asset servicing and transaction functions primarily to intermediaries such as broker-dealers and banks, and increasingly to fund managers, insurance companies and other global investors through our proprietary network in 57 markets. The scale of this network, provided through our own offices and staffed with Citi experts in each market, sets Citi apart from the competition.

DCC Dublin Settlements is responsible for settlement of all transactions within Global Securities Services. As part of a team of 15, within a Department of over 100, the Section processes up to approx. 200,000 transactions per day for a broad range of Direct and Global customers for Ireland; UK, ESES, Germanics, Sweden , Italy and Portuguese markets. The section is responsible for timely and accurate settlement of a wide variety of instruments including Equities, Gilts, Stock Lending, ADR’s, and Cross Borders, Fixed income which have to be completed within tight deadlines through-out the day.

Key Responsibilities:

As a senior within the team the successful candidate they will be expected to

• Contribution and participation in ad hoc projects both within the Department and Citi as a whole

• Extensive years experience within Financial Services / Banking

• Experience within Securities Operations would be ideal but is not essential.

• Lean knowledge an advantage

• Ideal for someone with previous work experience looking to expand their knowledge in equity processing within an International banking environment.


• PC proficient.

• Excel, Word, Outlook.

• Analytical and numerate.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good lateral thinking and common sense.

• Must demonstrate a proven track work record

• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Relevant 3rd level experience

• Strong Leaving Certificate.
