Key Responsibilities

  • The DDOS (e-Commerce tool set) SME will be responsible for maintaining and developing the SPL online platform or CEE and META regions to ensure the sustainment and growth of the stock and sell Commercial Distribution business.

  • The person will be responsible for supporting the online business managers, distribution sales organisations and merchandising organization on day to day business requirements and any operational issues.

  • The e-business advisor will be working collaboratively with internal and external distribution teams and will be involved in the development, testing and support of the SPL Online tool to best meet the evolving business needs and requirements.

  • This position requires driving and developing specific online initiatives through program/project management across EMEA regions with multiple customers and interactions

  • The Online Business Manager is responsible for driving customer online adoption, maintaining and improving superior online customer experience and supporting Dell sales organization to find best online solutions, across all business verticals within Dell’s EMEA Business

  • This position requires driving specific online initiatives through professional program/project management. The role also entails working jointly with Dell internal teams and Dell's senior leadership to maintain high customer online experience and communicating key programs

  • Above all, the Online Business Manager must proactively take ownership of the assigned online business segment and drive for results. The Online Business Manager will promote and work dynamically to drive online activities that will continuously increase online growth and premium to offline business.

Essential Requirements

  • Computer Science or Business Information Systems degree plus 4 years’ experience in related field

  • Advanced knowledge of at least one major RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)

  • Web development experience with JavaScript and HTML

  • Working knowledge of Python, Java or C#

  • Strong interest in eCommerce and online marketing

  • Strong customer and business-facing communication skills are required along with heavy emphasis on project analysis, problem-solving, project management, negotiation and organizational skills

  • Strong knowledge of e-Business technologies, process definition, and escalation management

Desirable Requirements

  • Fluency in English is mandatory, all additional languages are an asset

  • Experience with Dell's Premier Page site, Premier Tools application, and DOMS/Gii is a plus

  • Experience working with an international client base and with remote and virtual teams is preferred

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Ariba, SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, etc. and Market sites is preferred

  • Experienced at influencing and negotiating with other IT teams and business partners

  • Good business understanding of the indirect business model (Distribution, Partners)

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex set ups

  • Positive, collaborative and optimistic can do working style
