We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to join the Eir Business Channel covering the West of Ireland

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will involve:

Managing a team of Business Development Managers selling fixed line and mobile services to Small to Medium Enterprises on behalf of eir.


  • €42,000 starting off

  • €45,000 after 6 months if on target

  • €50,000 after 12 months if on target and passed probation

  • Manage day-to-day performance of their regional field sales team.

  • To provide leadership and direction for all of the team to exceed targets and objectives

  • Overall responsibility for the performance of assigned territory areas

  • Required to analyse, plan and organise sales activities in their region

  • Apply and manage performance management/improvement processes

  • Prioritisation and forward planning of sales activities

  • Achieve agreed targets for product Sales volumes


  • Achieve agreed objectives across all Key Performance Indicators

  • Run weekly conference calls to communicate performance and updates to all team members

  • Coach and develop the team

  • Ensure product trends are monitored and communicated to team

  • Establish and Control field standards- manage sales best practice, resolve customer issues and escalate appropriately

  • Build a cohesive and motivated team establishing clear communication channels

  • Ensure Personal Development Plans are created and updated for the team

  • Ensure regular accompaniments and 121 meetings are carried out with all direct reports

  • Recognise and reward excellent team performance

  • Ensure management are informed and updated regarding all key activities

  • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the line manager

  • To collate and present daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales activities

  • Ensure compliance is being adhered to across the field, at both field and management levels

  • Co-ordinate and carry out regular workshops and training

  • Manage and report on asset management and staff churn

  • To take a proactive lead role in delivering defined objectives in the following areas; training, development, systems, procedures, safety, products, teamwork, motivation, recruitment, develop and manage Business Development Managers

  • Knowledge of managing a high performing field sales team.

  • Planning and Organisation Skills to successfully manage a field sales team

  • Administration focus to ensure high levels of quality and attention to detail

  • Must have experience in setting and achieving targets

  • Negotiation & Selling Experience to lead team by example
